Requirements

  • Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Development Studies, Economics, Statistics, Engineering or other related fields
  • Experience: Minimum 4 years’ experience in development and implementation of monitoring and evaluation system
  • Good understanding of result based monitoring system
  • Strong proficiency in English and Nepali language
  • Strong communication and reporting skills in oral and writing
  • Computer proficiency in MS word, excel, and power point is required
  • Ability to travel within Nepal 20-30 percent of the time

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement monitoring and evaluation procedures and mechanism (MEAL Tool) aligning with donor’s requirement 
  • Monitor all project activities and progress towards achieving the project outputs and outcomes
  • Generate monthly indicator tracking system against key indicators in the log frame
  • Develop mechanism for data storage and digitization
  • Ensure regular updating of data and information
  • Assist Team Leader in preparing half-yearly, annual progress reports and other relevant reports
  • Provide feedback/suggestion to the Team Leader on project strategies and outputs
  • Orient project team members on M&E tools and support them on its use
  • Analyze and validate collected data for accuracy, quality and completeness 
  • Participate and contribute in half-yearly and annual project reviews and planning workshops 
  • Assist in designing baseline studies to collect information relevant for M&E 
  • Assist in conducting internal reviews and evaluations
  • Develop learning questions and incorporate lessons in the regular reporting mechanism
  • Document lesson learnt and provide necessary feedback to improve project efficiency and effectiveness
  • Support project team in preparing necessary communication materials
  • Coordinate responses to requests for information
  • Contribute to developing and reporting of project reviews, assessments, surveys, and other analytic or evaluation processes and products
  • Represent project at conferences, round-tables, committees or working groups as assigned by the Team Leader
  • Build and maintain relationships with partner organizations, donors, private sectors partners, and national authorities
  • Perform other functions as required and directed by the Team Leader
