Qualification: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in architecture
Requirements
Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in architecture (preferably specialization in building science/ sustainable architecture/ environmental planning)
Experience: minimum 2 years with experience in building design and preferably site supervision
Basic understanding of building physics
Familiarity with green buildings, energy efficient / green building products and technologies
Should be proficient in AutoCAD and SketchUp
Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel and Project or equivalent
Ability to travel within Nepal 30 percent of the time
Responsibilities
Assist in planning baseline surveys to evaluate operational energy and embodied energy used in buildings in Nepal
Assist in conducting baseline survey and stakeholder consultations
Assist in developing manuals, guidelines, case studies etc. for energy efficient building design, resource-efficient materials etc.
Assist in organizing design charrettes (3-4 day intensive design workshops) and provide building simulation support
Assist in developing, organizing and conducting training programs for different stakeholders
Participate in on-site monitoring and carry out performance monitoring of buildings
Conduct building simulation studies of new and future building design
Build and maintain relationship with partner municipalities for the promotion of EE building design
Support in promotion and dissemination of energy efficient building designs in partner municipalities
Represent project at conferences, round-tables, committees or working groups
Assist in preparing information leaflets/brochures and other marketing materials for awareness building
Perform other functions as required and directed by the Senior Architect
