KOSHISH is a non-governmental organization working in the field of mental health, psychosocial wellbeing and disability in Nepal since 2008. As a response to COVID-19 emergency, KOSHISH is going to offer emergency mental health and psychosocial support services in Gandaki province. All the job positions must be flexible to based on Pokhara or Damauli with frequent travel to different municipalities of Tanahun, Gorkha and Lamjung districts as per program need. Position: Project Officer

Number of Vacancies: 1

Fixed-term employment for 6 months starting 15th June 2020.

The applicant must of Masters Degree in any stream with the proven skills of project implementation, documentation, reporting and excellent written and verbal communication skills in both English and Nepali. Preferences will be given to the candidate who has worked during emergencies, having good coordination skills with local-level stakeholders and have own motorbike with a valid license.


Position: Psychologist

Number of Vacancies: 3

Fixed-term employment for 6 months starting 15th June 2020.

The applicant should have at least PGD in Counseling or Master’s Degree in Psychology and have relevant training. The applicant must have proven experience of providing Psychosocial Counseling, empathetic communication, familiarity with the psychosocial model of counselling and monitor and follow up of the persons who received counselling. Preferences will be given to the candidates having work experience in emergency response.

S/he will manage CARE Nepal contributions to global MEL processes including PIRS and other MEL/KM initiatives. S/he will work closely with CARE Nepal Resource Mobilisation team, Program Resources & Approaches team, Communications and Outreach Team, and other programme management teams to disseminate organizational learning and scale up/replicate good practices.  S/he will participate in Senior Leadership Team. S/he will be responsible for effective management and capacity building of DMEL & KM team. S/he is required to transfer MEL knowledge and skill to all the units concerned including our external implementing partners to ensure consistency of the DMEL/KM throughout the organisation and its partners.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE:

Qualification:

  • Master’s Degree in relevant field such as knowledge management, research, social science and analysis, or equivalent; ideally with a strong focus on social research and learning.

Experience:

  • At least 7 years relevant experience in MEAL management role in international development programming context with demonstrated experience in both quantitative and qualitative methods.

Skills and knowledge: 

  • Excellent verbal and written language skills in English required; Nepali language desirable
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, training and facilitation skills
  • Excellent experience in  designing and establishing/strengthening systems  for knowledge and data management

Qualifications and Skills Required: 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting or relevant field with at least 8 years of experience in financial management, systems and controls, including institutional grant management, particularly with an international development organisation OR Master’s Degree in Finance, Accounting or relevant field with atleast 5 years of relevant experience.
